Old Hollywood Angel

As you see from the title, this look was inspired from the beautiful Victorias secret angels. From the hair, makeup to the clothing were all soft, sexy and glamourous. This look also gave a feel of old hollywood glamour to me, which is always fun to create because I love feeling the inner “DIVA” inside in me, she comes out once in a blue and slaysssss haha . Anyways…Here are the list of the things I used for the look!

  • Eyes: All mac products used. Primed with Soft Ochre paintpot, Crease colors were wedge and handwritten, Lids were soba and bronze, Liner on top was blacktrack gel liner and bootblack liquid on top, Bottom liner was fascinating on the water line and blacktrack on the lash line smudged straight out, Lashes were Ardel wispies, Eyebrows I used Nyx cosmetics cake powder in black/gray
  • Lips: Mac cosmetics Strip poker from the Kelly Osbourne line with oystergirl lipglass

  • Vapor shadow from the brow bone down to the crease

I been curling my hair wrong for the longest time. I say that because I was looking for a certain look and I finally figured out the way!! So after washing my hair I put in my trusty Bio Theory Essence that makes my bleached and over dryed hair into silk! Then I put in my heat protectant from Treseme and blow dry till its fully dried. Then go ahead with the hairline part that you desire, I usually part it in the middle and then flip it to my right because that my good side lol. I then start from my face frame to the back the then bottoms of my hair. I take my regular 1 inch curling iron and flip it upside down then take small strips of hair from the frame of my face to the back. I take the pieces then curl it clockwise on the right side and counter clock wise on the left side, from the bottom of the iron to the top. After your done spray it with a light texturizing spray so you can have the volume that the curl gives all day long. Viola!! there you have it. This is my go to look for sure!

Galaxy eyes

I was getting into the holiday spirit by going through my glitters of makeup. If I decide to get festive I usually go for the gold or silver glitters but I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and use something I wasn’t totally comfortable with. I hardly use fun colors on my eyes but I want to change that so I went in for the pinks and purples!! Eyes: I used a primer all over the lid and then used macs soft brown as my transition color. I then used mac shadow(deep truth) all over the lid and then used a blue pressed pigment to really bring out the blue. Then I put the pink glitters all over the blue to replicate the stars and planets in the galaxy haha. For the bottom of the eye I used macs feline pencil and smudged it a bit lower than the lash line and continued with the blue pigment then the pink glitter. For my skin I kept it pretty clean because I had so much focus on the eyes with the color and texture. I used BB cream and a pink taupe blush to contour and color my cheeks called blushbaby from mac. Lastly for my lips I used macs myth mixed with angel lipstick. I really want to continue using different colors and textures because there are so many beautiful looks you can create. Makeups really fun to play and to get creative with so I plan on having my creatives juices flowing!

IMG_6357I was looking through pinterest the other day and came across Charlotte Tilburys board and how she was creating a Cindy Crawford inspired look. I absolutely loved It and wanted to create my own. For this look you needed all matte texture everything. I am a dewy skin lover but I had to powder my entire face over my contour for this look. For the eye I took Macs eye kohl pencil in Feline and covered my lid and then went in with a matte loose brown shadow and blended it out, making a slight V shape in the corner with lashes. For the lips I used A soft matte lip cream from NYX called “London” and overdrew my lip with Mac liner in “Stripdown. The over drawn liner was so in then and its defiantly coming back now. Hope you can created your own 90s supermodel look and hope you enjoyed mine!! Oh and dont forget the infamous mole! I used my Stilas liquid liner for that!!

Day and night

Annie & JennAnnie & Jenn-2Annie & Jenn-4-1

I been a makeup artist for a few years and the concept of how much makeup you have to put on to look amazing is so off the wall!! I want to showcase real beauty looks that can we worn every day and for those special nights. Here is a day to night transformation looks. For daytime, Its all about making your face more lively. Most of us don’t get the the perfect 8 hours of sleep so by putting on colors to bring out your best features makes a big difference in the morning. For the nighttime look,, you can just build on from what you had during the day. I added a winged liner and a red lip to what she had on already and it added more drama to the look. It doest always have to be complicated to get a fabulous look. Work with your best feature(accent point) so If you love your eye shape, play with that and make that your stand out point by wearing different colors for liner, shadow and even mascara. You got great cheek bones then play with powder and cream blushes then add on different shades of highlights. You get the point! Less is more but working with your accent point makes your look pop!
